ABOUT THIS SERVICE

This one-to-one consultancy is designed to support you at any stage of your project – whether you are starting with an idea or need help moving it forward.
We will listen to your objectives, help you shape your brand, discuss your ideas, and explain the design, prototyping, and manufacturing process.
During the session, we will assess your project, identify challenges, and plan the next steps.
In the design and development phase, we will define the technical details needed to prepare for pattern making and prototyping.

WHAT CAN BE DISCUSSED DURING THE CONSULTANCY?

Each session is fully tailored to your needs and the stage of your project. Topics may include:

– Exploring or refining a business idea
– Reviewing your project and identifying development or production challenges
– Designing a product or a collection
– Addressing doubts or difficulties with an existing design
– Selecting colour palettes, materials, and fittings
– Comparing leather, vegan leather, and fabric options
– Considering performance, sustainability, and cost
– Understanding how prototyping and manufacturing work and what your options are

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE MEETING

Please bring anything that helps explain your project: samples, reference images, sketches, material swatches, notes, or similar items.

WHAT IS PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Once the main direction of your project is clear, we will focus on individual designs. We will produce hand-drawn sketches showing all views, features, and measurements, and may include mock-ups if needed. Where relevant, we will suggest alternative solutions to ensure your design is functional and ready for production.

These sketches are suitable for communicating effectively with manufacturers.
(Digital technical packs and factory sheets are not included in this service but can be provided separately.)

Product development helps to avoid costly mistakes and ensures your design is feasible, clear, and aligned with industry standards.

HOW MANY HOURS SHOULD I PURCHASE?

This depends on your project. Please contact us and we will advise you on the appropriate number of hours.

MEETING ARRANGEMENTS

Availability:
– Monday to Friday, and selected Sundays (please note that Sunday availability is limited and may involve a longer wait time)
– Sessions are available in 1, 2, 3, or 4-hour blocks

Booking timeframe:
We usually book sessions two to three weeks after purchase, but we will always do our best to offer you the earliest possible slot.

Rescheduling:
We allow customers to reschedule their consultation once, as long as the request is made with at least 48 hours’ notice.

PRICING

– From £47 to £63 per hour, depending on the number of hours purchased.
– Sunday sessions: 30% additional charge

If you continue working with us, 25% of your consultancy fee will be deducted from the cost of prototyping your design(s).
