ABOUT THIS SERVICE

This service follows an initial consultation, where we have outlined the main features and challenges of your project and it is ready to be developed further.

The service will help you define the best materials and fittings, clarify aspects of your design that are unclear or not feasible in the scenario of production and provide you with choices for construction methods and finishing for you to choose from (if applicable).

The aim is to define your needs and the technical aspects of your designs to make items ready for the following steps: pattern creation and prototyping.

 

HOW DOES THIS SERVICE WORK?

This service can be about a single design or a collection and can be carried out in person at our studio or remotely.

Depending on the project, it might provide you with some sketches, pictures and general visual reference with the aim of  clarifying the item’s specifications. Sometimes this is simply done via  writing or it might require us sending you videos or physical mock ups of certain areas of the item for you to review.

The service may provide you with options on critical areas (if applicable) and make sure that everything about your design(s) is clear and viable.

The service also guides you in creating a product that is feasible as well as providing you with insight into the industry for you to be able to understand the most suitable way to produce this style in various capacities and using different production methods.

 

WHY DO I NEED THIS SERVICE:

To avoid expensive misunderstandings with your manufacturer and mistakes in prototyping and producing your designs.

To avoid long and potentially exhausting attempts in bringing your project forward without having a clear idea of the industry, how the process works and what is required in order for your project to run smoothly.

 

HOW MANY HOURS WILL I NEED TO PURCHASE?

Every project is different; you will be advised on how many hours you will need to purchase in order to bring your project to the desired stage during our initial consultation.

 

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

Our product development service can provide you with technical hand sketches showing all views of the designs as well as all features and measurements (sufficient to correctly and smoothly communicate with your manufacturer).

The service does not provide you with digital tech packs or factory sheets, although they can be realised for you as a separate service if required.

 

MEETING ARRANGEMENTS

Available days: Monday to Friday and selected Sundays (please note that the availability for Sundays is very limited and therefore the waiting time to book a slot for these days is generally longer. For Sunday meetings we require a 2 hours minimum booking)

Available time slots: During our working hours

Time slot length: Slots are available for 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours in a row.

Our availability: We are generally able to book you in for your sessions around two-three weeks from when you have purchased the consultation.

Of course, we will always try to accommodate your needs and book you in the closest time possible.
